Report or Letter

An existing registered customer will have already had a Consultation and supervised visits with us, and can now avail of our court reports and letters. You can request and purchase online.

Adult Counselling & Therapy

Togher Counselling Service provides the opportunity for adults to avail of affordable counselling. 
 
The first 10 sessions are €25 per session. Thereafter a session will be €50. 

Our counsellors and therapists for adults work with clients 18yrs+.

We have two locations where therapy and counselling take place:

Attending counselling and/or therapy can provide support with: 

  • discovering new ways of coping 
  • Support you in making changes 
  • finding what works for you 
  • Deal with feelings like anxiety 
  • Cope with a bereavement or relationship breakdown 
  • Understand yourself better 
  • Support and promote self-esteem and self confidence 

Counselling for adults currently being offered currently: 

  • General Counselling (Talk Therapy) 
  • Domestic Violence Counselling 
  • Bereavement Counselling 
  • Addiction Counselling 

Yes, our counsellors and therapists are trained professionals and also specialise in certain areas of counselling such as domestic violence, bereavement, childhood anxiety, behavioural issues etc.

50 minutes per session. We offer low-cost counselling and therapy; you will contribute €25 euros per session for the first 10 sessions. Sessions are for individuals only.

Yes, the provision of this service is confidential unless there is potential harm towards the individual/other. Each therapist/counsellor will explain to you their confidentiality agreement. 

Some professionals offer counselling sessions online through video call if requested.

You can register online on the registration page. This form will also serve as a referral/self-referral form. You will need to provide an email address that you can be contacted by on an ongoing basis. The information you provide on the form will help us to run the service most efficiently and keep the waiting list low.

YES, you will need to provide an email address to receive notifications of appointments and to receive payment link that will allow you to pay for your appointments.

Yes. There is a waiting list. 
 
However, once you register for the service via the registration form, we will phone you within two weeks for a registration follow-up phone call.

Payment links are sent by email to the client for the upcoming session. Payment needs to be made 48 hours prior to the planned visit. 

The same payment link for a specific value can be used again and again, week after week, unless your weekly cost changes.

If you do not pay 48 hours in advance, the session will be cancelled. A new session will not be booked, until arrears are paid. 

If a third party is paying the fee on your behalf please inform the counselling coordinator.

If payment is not received 48 hours in advance, the session will be cancelled. A new session will not be booked, until arrears are paid.

Some counsellors / therapists may be flexible by a few minutes, but if considerably late the session may be rescheduled. Charges will still apply.

No, the money is non-refundable for 48 hours before the appointment and cannot be transferred onto the next session. Money can be refunded before the 48-hour timeframe.

Counselling/therapy take place as weekly sessions.

You can leave during your session; however, you will not be refunded the session fee.

You will need to contact the counselling coordinator as soon as possible to reschedule an appointment.

Child (3-17yrs) Counselling & Therapy

Togher Counselling Service provides the opportunity for children and young people affordable counselling, art therapy and play therapy. 

The first 10 sessions are €25 per session. Thereafter a session will be €50. 

Our counsellors and therapists will work with children from 3yrs – 17yrs. 

We have two locations where therapy and counselling take place:

Attending counselling and/or therapy can provide support with:

  • Developing an understanding of behaviors 
  • Supporting self-esteem and self-confidence 
  • Alleviation of anxiety 
  • Support social skills 
  • Support to fully experience and express feelings 

Therapy for children and young people being offered currently: 

Art Therapy for children 3yrs+ 
Art therapy is an effective therapy that aims to help children and adolescents to address emotional and behavioral issues. As a non-verbal form of communication, art therapy is a safe and non-threatening way for children to explore emotions and experiences. 

Play Therapy for children 3yrs+ 
Play Therapy promotes self-confidence, imagination, creativity, concentration, communication, problem-solving skills, self-esteem and most importantly, happiness in the child. 

Adolescent Talk Therapy for young people 11yrs+ 
Play Therapy promotes self-confidence, imagination, creativity, concentration, communication, problem-solving skills, self-esteem and most importantly, happiness in the child. 

Yes, our counsellors and therapists are trained professionals. They specialise in supporting childhood anxiety, illness, separation as well as with emotional and behavioural issues.

50 minutes per session. We offer low-cost counselling and therapy; you will contribute €25 euros per session for the first 10 sessions. Sessions are for individuals only.

The first session (with any counsellor or therapist) will be attended by the parent(s). The following sessions will be attended by the child only. Most therapist will ask parents to wait nearby, but not in the room. Each therapist will discuss this in detail at your parent consultation.

Sessions are for individuals, you can have more than one child attend our service, but not for the same session

Our Two Locations

Togher Counselling Service has two locations specially designed for Counselling and Therapy. The facilities are comfortable and are environments suitable for all age groups.
